We transport and install the largest structures and critical assets needed to build and renew major infrastructure. Everything from a new 4,000 te railway bridge, to the world’s largest offshore windfarm blade (107 m long). Through our highly skilled and experienced staff we are able to provide industry leading solutions for our customers worldwide. You will have the opportunity to work with some of the best Structural Engineers, Project Engineers and Senior Project Engineers in the business.
The Graduate Engineer will work in a team of engineers responsible for developing engineering solutions and concepts for a wide variety of projects including heavy lift and transport operations. The graduate engineer will report directly to the Senior Project Engineer.
The successful candidate will be a motivated individual with strong mechanical knowledge, ready to thrive in a fast‑paced and rewarding environment. They will have a degree in a relevant field of engineering (mechanical‑civil‑structural), with proven knowledge and experience of MS Office and AutoCAD (or similar software packages) and will hold a valid UK driving licence.
Responsibilities
* Create innovative engineering solutions that support sales and tendering activities.
* Develop and apply structural calculations to assess, select and validate operational approaches.
* Use creative problem solving and forward thinking to design solutions that meet client needs while adhering to the highest standards.
* Build strong relationships by collaborating with internal teams and engaging directly with clients on‑site.
* Get involved with projects from concept through to execution, applying sound engineering principles every step of the way.
* Champion high standards by ensuring all decisions align with HSEQ policies and best practices.
Requirements
* A relevant degree (minimum 2:2) in Mechanical, Structural, Civil or Construction Engineering.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across teams.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, with the ability to produce clear and professional documentation.
* Excellent organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* A collaborative team player who understands team dynamics and contributes with a positive, professional attitude.
* A keen eye for detail, with a high level of accuracy in all work undertaken.
