The role provides a patient administration service within the Health Records Department, which underpins the patient’s journey to and through the hospital, for both inpatient and outpatient care, to meet the needs of patients and health care professionals.
Location: NHS Lanarkshire, based in the Medical Records Department within University Hospital Monklands. The organisation serves a population of 655,000 across rural and urban communities in North and South Lanarkshire.
What we offer
This is a part-time post with a pro-rata salary. Contract type: Permanent. Working pattern: 29.60 hours per week.
Responsibilities
Provide patient administration within the Health Records Department to support the patient journey and coordinated care across services.
What we’ll need you to bring
* Educated to standard grade.
* Knowledge of health records gained through experience and/or qualification at SVQ 2, ECDL or equivalent.
* Customer care skills.
* Computer literate and keyboard skills.
* Experience in multi-tasking.
* Knowledge of Confidentiality and Data Protection.
* Knowledge of handling and moving skills.
* Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative (working alone).
* Good interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff at all levels.
Location and key details
This role will be based in the Medical Records Department within University Hospital Monklands. Applicants shortlisted for interview may be considered for similar vacancies in alternative locations.
