We're looking to recruit an experienced Neighbourhood Officer in St Helens to support our social housing client covering Maternity until the end of August 2026.
Key responsibilities:
Deliver housing, tenancy and estate management services across a designated patch of properties
Conduct tenancy visits, inspections, audits, and handle tenancy changes, mutual exchanges and breaches of tenancy
Manage abandonments, unauthorised occupation, tenancy fraud and failures to allow access
Triage and manage low to medium level ASB, tenancy breaches and safeguarding cases, serving legal notices where required
Support customers to sustain their tenancies by identifying those at risk, assessing needs, implement early interventions and signpost to external agencies where appropriate
Carry out estate inspections, identify improvements and work with internal and external partners to maintain clean and safe neighbourhoods
What you'll need to succeed
Proven experience in a housing and tenancy management role within social housing, with the ability to make an immediate impact carrying out the above duties
Good knowledge of housing legislation and best practice relating to tenancy management
Experience of managing ASB cases, triaging, investigating and gathering evidence
Driving licence with access to own vehicle with valid business insurance
