Purpose of the Role
Wipro are looking for a Business analyst to work in Belfast on a fixed term contract basis. The successful candidate should have strong financial services experience especially within the banking industry
What we’re looking for:
• Appropriately assess risk and impact when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding our client, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand business processes
• Help the team prioritize, negotiate, and remove obstacles to achieve business results, conduct personnel duties for team and assist in identifying and removing product development blockers.
• Develop plans and execute functional strategies for a country, multiple countries, region, or business requiring coordination and integration across units.
• Ensure ethical business practices are being followed which adhere to the policy & conduct.
• Provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of information in complicated and unique situations, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information.
• Understand and anticipate user needs. Analyze gaps in capabilities, opportunities for enhancing user experience, remediating risk, and control gaps.
• Own the banking product roadmap, strategy, and backlog, outlining the vision and direction for the product offering over time, to ensure users derive the most value possible from the product.
• Understand product requirements through partnership with business users, market research, and past product feedback.
What you will bring:
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst with a demonstrable track record of delivering projects that achieve measurable business outcomes. Project experience in Financial Services domain
• Ability to understand product requirements through partnership with business users, market research, and past product feedback.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to think critically and strategically about how solutions contribute to business outcomes
• Demonstrable experience in working with large data sets in Excel or more advanced tools and ability to drive insights from data
