Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef De Partie to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food production and a strong understanding of food safety practices. As a Chef De Partie, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, preparing high-quality dishes that delight our guests. This position requires excellent teamwork, leadership abilities, and a commitment to maintaining the highest culinary standards.
Duties
* Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
* Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining quality and presentation.
* Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times.
* Assist in managing kitchen operations, including supervising junior staff and coordinating with other team members.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
* Participate in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes.
* Maintain equipment and kitchen tools, ensuring they are clean and in good working order.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
* Cooking to dish specifications
* Plating food creatively and maximizing customer enjoyment
* Formal culinary training is preferred
Requirements
* Proven experience in food preparation or as a Chef De Partie in a busy restaurant environment.
* Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
* Certifications in food safety and hygiene, and previous experience as a chef or commis chef
* Excellent culinary skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to follow recipes accurately while also being creative in food presentation.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
* Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment, adaptability, and a strong knowledge of kitchen procedures and regulations
