Overview Practicing at a Highly Advanced level in the RUT arena, our directorate lead role balances leadership and clinical practice to deliver compassionate excellence. Reporting to the Divisional Lead Pharmacist, they maintain a key relationship between their clinical directorate and the pharmacy directorate to ensure good medicine management and patient focussed care. Directorate Lead Pharmacists act as role models in terms of Trust values and behaviours as well as clinical expertise. The post-holder will lead, develop, evaluate and be responsible for delivering a comprehensive pharmacy service.
Key Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with the other directorate pharmacists across SUWON and the RUT directorate teams.
Actively promote pharmacy services and service need within the relevant directorates, keeping abreast of any services changes or development and their impact on pharmacy.
Ensure pharmacy services are developed to meet the changing needs of the patient cohort under the care of the directorate.
Balance service needs across inpatient, outpatient and day case specialities.
Lead a pharmacy team providing specialist clinical services to inpatient, outpatient, day case areas and satellite sites across the wider geographical area.
Develop a specialist clinical role in the directorates alongside operational skills, leading pharmacy services to a diverse portfolio of areas.
You will pay a pivotal role in achieving a number of targets which include safety, operational, financial and productivity improvements.
Facilitate and support the learning and development needs of the local pharmacy team including appraisal, diploma tutoring and pre-registration pharmacist training.
Qualifications
First degree in pharmacy or equivalent.
GPHC registration.
PG diploma or equivalent experience.
NMP.
Leadership qualification/training.
Evidence of CPD.
Desirable Criteria
MSc in clinical pharmacy.
Teaching qualification.
Coaching qualification.
RPS Faculty membership.
HFMA modules.
Human factors training, You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
Independent prescriber to support the wider multi-disciplinary team on site, with freedom to identify an area to maximise use of your skills to support the service.
