About the Role
We are partnering with a leading energy company to appoint a Head of ESG Reporting. This is a senior leadership opportunity to shape, deliver, and continuously improve ESG disclosure and reporting across a complex, global organisation.
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring regulatory compliance, enhancing investor confidence, and embedding robust ESG reporting practices across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the design and delivery of the organisation’s ESG reporting strategy.
* Ensure compliance with evolving reporting frameworks (CSRD, TCFD, ISSB, GRI, UK regulations).
* Oversee ESG data governance, accuracy, and audit readiness across all business units.
* Partner with Finance, Legal, Risk, Investor Relations, and Sustainability teams to align ESG reporting with corporate and financial disclosures.
* Manage external assurance processes and relationships with auditors, rating agencies, and consultants.
* Build and develop a team of ESG reporting specialists.
* Present ESG disclosure updates to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
* Significant experience in ESG or sustainability reporting, ideally within the energy, utilities, or infrastructure sectors.
* In-depth knowledge of ESG reporting standards (GRI, SASB, CSRD/ESRS, TCFD, ISSB, CDP).
* Strong background in finance, audit, or non-financial disclosure management.
* Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex, cross-functional projects.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex ESG data into clear business insights.
