📍 Location: Darlington – Office-Based with Flexible Options

💷 Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 (Dependent on Experience)

🕘 Hours: Monday–Thursday 8:30am–5:00pm, Friday 8:30am–3:30pm (45-minute lunch break)

Are you an experienced accountancy professional ready to take on a senior leadership role within a growing practice? A fantastic opportunity has opened for a Senior Client Manager in a busy and evolving accountancy firm based in Darlington.

Following recent acquisitions, the firm is expanding and looking for someone who can step into a key client-facing and team-leading position.

🔍 What You’ll Be Doing:

1. Finalising accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies

2. Reviewing accounts prepared by team members and offering quality assurance

3. Managing and mentoring office staff, nurturing their development

4. Acting as the key link between the business owner and senior accountants

5. Leading client meetings and maintaining strong client relationships

6. Supporting practice operations and helping drive business performance

✅ What We’re Looking For:

7. ACA or ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience

8. Minimum of 4 years' experience in an accountancy practice

9. Proven track record in a senior accounting or managerial role

10. Solid knowledge of Xero (experience with other cloud platforms a bonus)

11. A proactive, hands-on approach with strong people and communication skills

12. An understanding of how a practice should be run and a desire to help shape its future
