Technical Administrator - Work & Rescue
We are looking for a Technical Administrator to join our Work and Rescue department. We need someone who is a great communicator, both written and verbal, with strong administration skills and attention to detail. They will be part of a busy specialist team who work with customers across industry and the emergency services, providing technical products, training and support.
Key responsibilities of the role
1. Stretcher servicing administration – taking bookings, scheduling work in partnership with Production, supplying service certificates, document maintenance, invoicing for work carried out
2. Ongoing review of servicing paperwork to improve ease of use and standardisation of service
3. Liaising with customers regarding stretchers – response to enquiries re: servicing, new stretchers and accessories etc.
4. Providing overflow/cover for Technical Sales – processing of orders and quotations, obtaining prices for non-standard items, advice on alternatives / substitutions, technical enquiries, stock and account enquiries
5. Providing administration support for production of product technical files for safety critical products in partnership with the Head of Production, Technical Products and Contracts Officer, and Product Designers
6. Liaising with Notified and Approved bodies re: updates to technical files
7. Updating work instructions as required, in particular for products covered by technical files, but also for other products and kits if needed (supporting the Production Technical Administrator)
8. Assisting with creation of user instructions – layout, content, wording,
9. Any other duties as required by the needs of the business
This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week) and the commencing salary is likely to be in the region of £25,000-£27,000 dependent on experience.
