Xeretec, a leading provider of workplace technology and managed services, is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Network Engineer Apprentice to join their expert team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about technology and looking to begin their career in IT. The successful candidate will receive hands-on training, mentorship from experienced professionals, and the chance to gain industry-recognised qualifications – all while supporting and maintaining the IT infrastructure that keeps businesses running smoothly across the UK.
In this role, you’ll work towards yourLevel 4 Network Engineer Apprenticeship,delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day in the Job:
* Assist with the installation of multifunctional devices and provide basic user instruction.
* Support the deployment of device monitoring tools and software solutions.
* Learn to install and support Xerox and partner software.
* Attend customer meetings with the sales team to observe technical discussions.
* Support demonstrations of basic features of our solutions.
* Support senior staff in software/driver installations and troubleshooting.
* Assist with remote and on-site customer support activities.
* Help with basic helpdesk tasks including software, hardware, and network issues logging and resolution.
* Support day-to-day internal IT operations under supervision.
* Help maintain internal documentation and IT inventory.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.
Salary, Hours&Benefits:
* £23,810 per annum
* Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week
* 20 days holidays, which will gradually increase to 25 days plus bank holidays

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:
* Grade 4 in Maths and 5 in English is essential for this role
* Keen interest in IT and technology with a willingness to learn.
* Basic understanding of Microsoft Office and general computer use.
* Good communication skills and a friendly, helpful attitude.
* Reliable, punctual, and eager to take on new challenges.
* Able to work well in a team and follow instructions carefully.
* Any previous exposure to Windows or macOS environments.
