The Role
We are on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Social Worker to join our Orange Grove Fostercare Northwest team. If you appreciate the vital role of foster parents and are eager to collaborate with them, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
In this dynamic position, you will:
* Provide quality assurance and training for both prospective and current foster parents.
* Recruit, train, and supervise foster parents while promoting the welfare of children placed with us.
* Be an excellent report writer, capable of meeting strict deadlines.
Requirements
* Hold a Social Work England qualification or equivalent, and be registered with Social Work England.
* Experience in fostering is essential.
* Comprehensive knowledge of fostering regulations, childcare law, and safeguarding legislation.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Commitment to high-quality practice, including occasional work after 5 PM and on weekends.
* Willingness to participate in an Out of Hours rota for the Northwest region.
* Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and databases.
Your Responsibilities
* Provide direct support to foster parents with a manageable caseload for effective supervision.
* Conduct regular supervision sessions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
* Collaborate with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to facilitate participation in meetings and decision-making.
* Possess a full driving licence and unrestricted access to your own vehicle.
* Be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS check (cost covered by Orange Grove Fostercare).
