We are looking for an experienced and strategic Finance Manager to oversee all financial aspects of this engineering services SME to help drive its financial strategy and planning. The business is part of a significant UK based group.
As a key member of the executive team, the Finance Manager will be responsible for financial management, risk assessment, and ensuring sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy & Leadership
* Develop and implement financial strategies to support business objectives.
* Provide financial guidance to the MD, Board of Directors, and senior leadership.
* Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
Financial Management & Reporting
* Oversee the preparation of financial reports, statements, and forecasts.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory and tax requirements.
* Manage financial controls and accounting procedures.
Risk Management & Compliance
* Identify and mitigate financial risks.
* Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines.
* Maintain relationships with auditors, banks, and external partners.
Operational Efficiency & Business Growth
* Optimise cash flow, working capital, and investment strategies.
* Support business expansion.
* Lead and develop the finance team to enhance financial operations.
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Finance Manager/ Controller / FD (senior financial leadership role).
* Experience working in a manufacturing / engineering environment (essential).
* Strong knowledge of corporate financial law, risk management, and best practices.
* Experience with financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
* CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualification.
