Uniform Education is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Buckinghamshire. The school provides a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for pupils with a range of needs, including Autism (ASC), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD).
About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support pupils on a 1:1 or small-group basis, adapting learning to their individual needs
*
Assist teachers in delivering engaging, structured lessons and sensory activities
*
Encourage independence, social interaction, and confidence through positive reinforcement
*
Use communication systems such as Makaton, PECS, and visual supports to aid understanding
*
Provide personal care and mobility support where required
*
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and families to support EHCP goals
What We’re Looking For:
*
Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN (school or care background)
*
A calm, patient, and resilient approach with a genuine passion for inclusive education
*
Confidence using sensory, structured, and visual communication strategies
*
Willingness to support with personal care when needed
*
A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
