Aquatics Lead – Brio Ellesmere Port Hours of work: This is a full-time (37 hours per week) position based across two sites: Ellesmere Port and Neston. However, we are open to considering the job role being divided into two part-time positions. 18.5 hours per week at Ellesmere Port and 18.5 hours per week at the Neston site (part time roles over two sites has been advertised separatley) Contract Type: Permanent contract Salary: 37 hours per week. Rate of pay - £25,989 per annum 18.5 hours per week. Rate of pay - £12,994 per annum Closing date: Monday 2nd February 2026 Interview date: Proposed interview date of week commencing Monday 9th February 2026 We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Aquatics Lead to join our team, working across Brio Ellesmere Port and Brio Neston, or alternatively as two part-time roles across the sites. Brio Leisure centres are community hubs for all things fitness and wellbeing. Anyone can get active, whether it’s in the gym or the fitness class studio, taking a dip in the pool or playing racquet sports too. We’re now looking for an Aquatics Lead to take control of the day-to-day operation of our growing aquatics scheme, including our Swim England swimming lessons. As this role is solely focused on the aquatics side of our business, you’ll have a keen interest in swimming and its importance as a life skill. You will assist in the day to day management of the Swim Teachers and will be planning, programming and reviewing swimming sessions, ensuring they’re available and attract a range of abilities to maximise income from lessons and aqua classes. You’ll be qualified to Swim England Level 2 qualification to help us provide the highest quality swimming lessons to the community. It’s not all about what you can bring to us though! We keep our swimming lesson classes small to ensure the best possible experience for our customers, so you’ll be playing a big role in building confidence in the water for people of all ages. Job Purpose: To work with the Aquatics Officer to coordinate the day-to-day operation and delivery of Brio’s growing Learn 2 Swim Scheme and School Swimming Programme. To assist in maximising income by providing dedicated swimming teaching hours to expand our programme further. To provide a high level of good customers service, which is consistent throughout the company. Main Responsibilities: To assist with the co-ordination and administration of the school swimming programme. To be able to communicate with both children and adults, ensuring messages are delivered in a constructive and positive manner. To assist the Aquatics Officer in monitoring all classes and waiting lists with a view to either increase numbers or changing the stages to meet demand, and ensure a consistent approach is taken to managing Learn 2, and ensure a consistent approach is taken to managing the Learn 2 swim programme. To assist the Aquatics Officer in effectively resourcing the school and Learn 2 swim programme in line with industry and company guidelines. To deliver 7 hours of Swimming Teaching per week across both sites as part of the 37 hour contract, or 3.5 hours per week as part of the 18.5 hour contract. Days and times to be agreed with the Aquatics Officer. To assist the Aquatics Officer with all general duties relating to swimming administration and ensuring Swim England initiatives and guidelines are adhered to. To assist in ensuring that the correct staffing levels are in place to deliver all swimming lesson delivery and this is uploaded to the in house time management system. To input information onto in-house systems to ensure reports are available for access by parents and children. To update the social media accounts on occasions to reflect any specific changes to the Learn 2 Swim Scheme and you may be required to attend outreach events to promote the aquatics offer. On occasions deliver outreach work to local community groups to enhance the profile of the aquatic activities provided by Brio. Communicate where necessary with customers with verbal and written communication by email or letter. To adhere to all company safeguarding practices and processes at all times. To carry out any other relevant duties as required, within the scope of the post.
