We are looking for a Process Engineer to join us in Plymouth. You will troubleshoot inefficiencies & implement productivity improvements into the fabrication processes. We are looking for someone who can create & install optimal, cost-effective processes in accordance with product specifications and quality requirements.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Troubleshoots inefficiencies, implements productivity improvements into the fabrication processes. Creates and installs optimal, cost-effective processes in accordance with product specifications and quality requirements.
* Audit compliance to Standard Operating Procedures and Best Working Practices throughout the manufacturing facilities.
* Create strategies that will enhance efficiency, optimise process yield and productivity through the installation of continuous improvement programs.
* Analysing and report on production timings.
* Coordinate the launch of new/revised processes, including establishing, goals, identify operator training needs, and evaluating results.
* Works closely with the Senior Management Team regarding manufacturing capabilities, team competency and other considerations to facilitate lean production processes.
* Identify, design, develop, test, and/or source and cost-justify various tools, machinery, and equipment for recommended production methods.
* Apply statistical methods and perform product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency.
* Represent Operations in cross-functional team meetings.
* Generate and update work instructions for production processes as required.
* Collaborate with management to resolve customer quality issues related to manufacturing process issues.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
* A proven ability to influence change through the application of improvement tools and techniques, (product specific training can be provided)
* An exceptional ability to understand drawings and evaluate and apply technical information.
* A candid team player who collaborates with peers to solve problems.

* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office

QUALIFICATIONS:
* Principles of Lean Manufacturing (essential)
* Business Improvement Tools trained (essential)
* Six Sigma Green Belt (desirable)
* Internal Audit Qualifications (desirable)
