An established engineering business based in Leominster is looking to recruit a Multiskilled Machinist to join its growing production team.
This is a hands-on role working on precision components, primarily machining aluminium using manual equipment. You’ll also support assembly and bench fitting activities, playing a key part in ensuring products meet exact specifications and quality standards.
The Role
As a Multiskilled Machinist, you will machine a wide range of precision components using manual mills and lathes. You will also assemble mechanical components, working from detailed engineering drawings to produce high-quality finished parts.
Accuracy and attention to detail are critical, as you will be responsible for ensuring all components meet required tolerances and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Operate manual milling machines and lathes to produce precision components
Machine aluminium materials to specification
Carry out bench fitting and mechanical assembly tasks
Interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
Use measurement tools to inspect and verify component accuracy
Operate additional workshop equipment including band saws, linishers and grinders
Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
Support continuous improvement within the workshop What We’re Looking For
Experience operating manual mills and lathes
Familiarity with general manual workshop equipment
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Skilled in using measurement tools to ensure precision
High attention to detail and commitment to quality
Reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently Desirable Skills
CNC programming experience
