Overview
Hurlands is a brand new Pickleball and Padel Club opening in January 2026 with 6 Padel courts and 10 Pickleball courts. The club will also boast bars and a café, fitness suites and club shop.
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Head Padel Coach to lead the club's padel programme. This is a pivotal role, blending hands-on coaching with strategic oversight of the sport's growth at the club. The successful candidate will have a key role working with the Hurlands team to design and develop the Padel coaching and competitive programme prior to the opening and help recruit the Padel team.
After the launch date you will coach members of all ages and levels, manage the coaching team, coordinate events, and ensure the sport thrives both competitively and socially within our community.
Responsibilities
* Coaching (Approx. 30 hours/week)
* Deliver high-quality individual and group Padel coaching sessions for juniors, adults, and performance players.
* Develop tailored coaching plans for players at varying skill levels, from beginners to competitive athletes.
* Organise and run coaching clinics, holiday camps, workshops and masterclasses.
* Prepare players for local, regional, and national competitions.
* Programme Management & Administration (Approx. 10–15 hours/week)
* Oversee the structure, quality, and growth of the club's padel coaching programme.
* Lead, mentor, and schedule assistant coaches to maintain consistent delivery standards.
* Coordinate club tournaments, social play sessions, and member engagement events.
* Manage lesson bookings, coaching timetables, and player progression records.
* Work with the Club Manager to promote the padel programme through marketing, social media, and outreach activities.
* Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and club policies.
Requirements
* Recognised padel coaching qualification (e.g. LTA or equivalent).
* Proven coaching experience at club, regional, or higher competitive level.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate players and staff.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Pay: £36,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
