Role Purpose
The Legal & Compliance Apprentice forms part of a small and friendly team based in our Support Centre in Burton-Upon-Trent.
The apprentice will learn a range of business administration duties within a fun and fast paced environment. Key parts of this will be to develop new skills in IT, customer service and administration whilst working towards an a nationally recognised level 2 qualification in Business Administration.
Accountabilities
* Learn to administer pub acquisitions and pub disposals.
* Learn to process queries.
* Learn to complete compliance checks for pub letting documentation.
* Learn to produce and present tenancy agreements for completion and sign off.
* Learn to raise purchase orders to process invoices and payments.
* Learn how to maintain and record files.
* Gain an understanding on how the pub industry functions.
* Gain insight on the associated regional and pub areas to make the appropriate and reasonable decisions when required.
* Learn how to prioritise and schedule problems and how to escalate them.
* Learn to identify opportunities to positively challenge historical processes and practices that may provide better solutions.
* Learn to maintain activity trackers and plans
* Learn how to communicate effectively in a business context
* Learn how to manage time to ensure deadlines are met
* Apply appropriate time and dedication to the apprenticeship
* Learn how to provide administrative support to the property and estates teams.
* Work closely with the Line Manager to develop your skills and knowledge.

The aim of this qualification is to contribute to the skills, knowledge, and overall performance of Business Administration for a learner.
It provides an insight into the principles and processes of Business and Administration and will aid career development with both knowledge and skills areas required in Business Administration.
This QCF competence-based qualification is designed for those people who are involved in Business and Administration as their primary work activity and are seeking a career in Business Administration and wish to take the first steps towards professional qualifications.
In addition, it is for learners who wish to gain recognition of their skills, knowledge and experience in Business Administration.
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. This qualification is suitable for those who work within a number of industries and job roles. It provides Learners with an opportunity to demonstrate their competence and knowledge in a wide range of job roles. Learners who achieve this qualification could progress into a number of business administration roles and/or continue their study in this or other areas.
Learners who complete this qualification may go on to further study in related areas such as Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration (QCF).
