Country: United Kingdom Job: Plant Manager Job Description: Reporting to the Regional Director, the Plant Manager will be responsible for ensuring that first class operational practices are in order to produce quality products in a safe operating environment. The Plant Manager will be responsible for achieving the short, medium and long-term results and objectives of the Plant in accordance with the Group’s strategic plan for Thatcham. Job Responsibilities: • Apply Group Policies related to Equal Opportunities, Environment, Health & Safety and Quality • Co-operate in drawing up the strategic plan for his/her plant with the Country Management • To define with Regional Management the Regional strategic plan and implement it in his/her plant. • Define the necessary action plans with senior management (CPK) for each of the areas, in order to achieve the results and objectives established • Apply and maintain SAICA Group management systems and corporate projects • Propose the Company’s annual investment plan. Supervise its implementation and establish corrective actions if needed • Draw up the budget and present it to the Country Management for approval • Supervise the process of the company budget and projects, optimise improvement actions and establish corrective actions in relation to these • Achieve excellent employee relations and promote personal development plans for employees • Develop and implement training and development plans for direct reports • Motivate and assist with the development of all employees in the plant • Prepare the annual performance development system and define the action plan to be followed • Ensure good customer relations • Co-ordinate company resources to ensure the fulfilment of commitments made to customers • Ensure the correct implementation of the Quality Management System • Ensure implementation of group procedures in subsidiary companies if applicable • Define and evaluate management objectives and KPIs of the management team, in accordance with Group policy • Represent the Company on all the following levels: legal, commercial, institutional, employer, operational, etc Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required: - Experienced Manager of people with a proven track record of developing and engaging others, working with and through members of the team - Experience of Plant Health & Safety with proven record of compliance - Strong coaching and effective communication skills, both written and verbal are essential - Highly self-motivated, assertive and a strong team player - Able to make a positive impact, influencing decisions and build a culture of innovation - Organised and ability to work under pressure/ using initiative to make decisions in order to meet tight deadlines - Able to think strategically, bringing together customer expectations and company strategies building a successful business Work Experience: Business Strategy, Communication, Employee Development, General Engineering, General Project Management (PM), Operations, Risk Management, Supply Chain Education: GCSEs (General Certificate of Secondary Education): N/A Worker Type: Regular Why choose Us By joining the Saica Group, you're choosing more than a job – you're choosing a purpose-driven career that aligns with your values.
