Senior Software Engineering Manager / Delivery Manager
Location: London (Hybrid – 2 days onsite)

The Role
We’re currently supporting a global digital media organisation as they look to appoint a Senior Software Engineering Manager / Delivery Manager into their technology function.
This role sits within a highly capable engineering environment delivering complex, software-led initiatives across a modern streaming platform. The successful individual will play a key role in driving delivery across multiple engineering programmes, working closely with architecture, product, engineering and vendor teams to ensure projects are delivered effectively and at pace.
This is a hands-on delivery leadership role suited to someone comfortable operating within technically complex environments and managing multiple stakeholders across large-scale engineering programmes.
Key Responsibilities for Software Engineer / Delivery Manager
* Lead the delivery of complex software engineering programmes within a fast-paced digital environment.
* Ensure alignment with architecture standards and service delivery frameworks across the technology landscape.
* Drive product-centric delivery using Agile methodologies, working closely with engineering and product teams.
* Support DevOps ways of working including CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment practices.
* Manage delivery planning including RAID management, technical risk and technical debt across programmes.
* Provide technical and project assurance across delivery, including governance and commercial oversight.
* Coordinate across internal teams and external vendors to deliver against challenging timelines.
* Work closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure clear communication and delivery alignment.
Experience Required for Software Engineer / Delivery Manager
* Strong background in technology delivery within complex engineering environments.
* Architecture and service delivery experience, ideally with exposure to TOGAF and ITIL frameworks.
* Experience delivering product-led technology programmes within Agile environments.
* Good understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment environments.
* Previous software engineering or development experience would be beneficial.
* Experience managing technical risk, delivery planning and technical debt.
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Additional Requirements
* Experience within OTT, streaming, media or large-scale digital platforms is essential.
* Comfortable operating in high-pressure delivery environments and working with multiple vendors.
* A proactive, self-starting approach with the ability to operate with minimal oversight.
