Youth Project Manager


Global Academy is launching Global Academy After Hours – a new community youth programme offering free, open-access creative sessions for 10–18 year olds in Hayes and across West London.

Funded by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and the National Lottery Community Fund, this programme will open our industry-standard studios to local young people after school, on weekends and during school holidays.

Young people will get to explore:


* Music production & radio
* Podcasting, content & digital storytelling
* Creative workshops & drop-in sessions
* Leadership & peer-mentor opportunities
* Real connections with creative industry role models

About the role

We are looking for a Youth Project Manager to lead the delivery of this programme. You will

be the face of our out-of-hours offer and help build a supportive, creative and youth-led culture.


You will:


Design and deliver a high-quality youth-creative programme Build strong relationships with young people & families


* Lead and support sessional Creative Mentors
* Create a safe, inclusive and positive environment
* Champion safeguarding and wellbeing
* Build links with local partners, youth networks and communities Support young people to lead, create and showcase their work Track attendance, engagement and programme impact
* This is a hands-on role for someone who loves being around young people, believes in the power of creativity and knows how to nurture confidence, belonging and positive pathways.


About the Project

Global Academy After Hours is an exciting new youth-creative programme funded by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and The National Lottery Community Fund. We are opening our professional media studios and creative spaces after school, on weekends and during holidays to offer free, safe and inspiring opportunities for young people aged 10–18 across Hayes and West London.


This programme is rooted in real-world industry culture. Young people will get hands- on access to music studios, radio suites, podcast spaces, digital production zones and creative labs - the same environments used by Global Academy students who go on to careers at Capital, Heart, LBC, Global Studios and across the media, music and entertainment world.


You will be at the heart of bringing this experience to the wider community. As Youth Project Manager, you will design and lead sessions, build meaningful relationships with young people and create a welcoming, high-energy space that feels like a creative hub - not a classroom.

You will work closely with our industry partners at Global Media and connect young people alongside the wider marketing, events, production and technical teams at Global Academy, helping to spotlight real career pathways in content, music, broadcast, audio, video, events and digital culture.


You will line-manage our team of Creative Mentors and support Student Ambassadors and Peer Producers, giving young people the chance to take on leadership roles, co-create projects and develop real industry-ready skills and confidence.


This is a front-facing, hands-on role leading a creative space that blends youth work, community culture and media & entertainment-industry inspiration. You’ll champion safety, belonging, creativity and youth voice - and help young people imagine themselves in the industry tomorrow by feeling part of it today.

Hours: Part-time (approx. 0.5 FTE, incl. some evenings & weekends)

Contract: Fixed-term to August 2026 (proudly funded by DCMS & National Lottery Community Fund)

Salary: £18,000 per year (0.5 FTE) - equivalent to £36,000 full-time, dependent on experience Start: ASAP / by agreement
