About the Role:
Reporting directly to the Lead Management Accountant and supporting the wider Finance Team, this role offers the opportunity to develop a career in management accounting and also offers support towards gaining a higher level finance qualification (CIMA/ACA/ACCA). The role will primarily support in preparing monthly management accounts, accurately posting transactions and reconciling balance sheet accounts in line with set deadlines. The role will also support with AP & AR tasks as required.
Role responsibilities include:
* Purchase ledger support, including payment runs and statement reconciliations.
* Financial transactional support.
* Cash book reconciliations.
* Spend analysis and cost allocation.
* Assist with preparation of management accounts.
* Control account reconciliations.
* Fixed Asset reconciliations and review.
* Freight analysis and allocation.
* Process monthly expenses and credit card spend, ensuring compliance with company policies.
* Accounts Receivable support, including responsibility for resolving customer price disputes.
Skills, experience and qualifications required:
* AAT qualified student with a keen desire to progress in a Financial role.
* Willing to learn.
* Analytical.
* Adaptable.
* Team player.
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel.
* Able to prioritise and effective time management skills.
