About the Role – SEND Teacher (Gloucester)
We’re looking for passionate and flexible SEND Teachers to work across a range of special schools and provisions in Gloucester.
In this rewarding role, you’ll be teaching children and young people with a wide variety of additional needs – from autism (ASD) and SEMH to complex learning and communication difficulties.
1. Work in primary or secondary SEND settings, depending on your preference and experience.
2. Deliver engaging, personalised lessons tailored to meet individual learning goals.
3. Collaborate with skilled teaching assistants and support staff to ensure each pupil is fully supported.
4. Choose your availability – whether you're looking for 1 day or 5 days per week, we’ll work around you.
5. Take on a mix of pre-booked assignments and same-day supply, with consistent opportunities available.
This is a brilliant way to build your SEND experience, explore different school environments, and potentially find your ideal long-term placement.
About the Schools
You’ll be working across a variety of special schools, alternative provisions, and inclusive mainstream schools with SEND units in and around Gloucester.

Requirements
To be considered for this flexible SEND teaching role, you must:
9. Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
10. Have experience working with, or a genuine passion for, pupils with SEND
11. Be adaptable, reliable, and confident across different school settings
12. Show empathy, patience, and enthusiasm in the classroom
13. Hold (or be willing to apply for) an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service

Salary
£120-220 per Day
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
