Overview

Happy Days Nurseries are seeking an Office Administrator to join our central support team. As our Office Administrator, youll be the heartbeat of our central office ensuring day-to-day operations run like clockwork. From greeting visitors with a smile to supporting nursery teams with essential resources, your role will be pivotal in maintaining our high standards of service and professionalism. Youll be the first point of contact for callers, visitors, and internal teams, and your ability to juggle tasks, manage communications, and keep things beautifully organised will help drive the success of the wider Happy Days network.

Salary: £27,000 to £27,500 GBP / Year

Note: This role is with Happy Days Nurseries; details reflect the central office administrator position.


Responsibilities

* Be the welcoming face and voice of Happy Days for visitors, callers, and online enquiries
* Maintain a tidy, professional reception and office environment
* Handle all incoming and outgoing correspondence with care and efficiency
* Monitor and respond to Admin and Enquiries inboxes
* Order and manage office supplies within budget
* Support the admin team and provide cover when needed
* Organise confidential shredding collections for office and nursery sites
* Manage post duties including franking and deliveries
* Print training materials and policy documents as required
* Maintain calendars for meetings, holidays, and events
* Assist with travel, accommodation, and event bookings
* Review and update office policies to meet evolving needs
* Collate and distribute the Weekly Email across departments and nurseries
* Support nursery teams with resource orders and uniform management
* Provide general administrative support across departments


What Were Looking For

* Minimum 1 year experience in an administrative role
* Customer-facing experience with a passion for excellent service
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C or above
* Strong problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude
* Excellent IT skills, including intermediate Excel; Dropbox experience a plus
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
* Discretion and trustworthiness when handling confidential information
* Confidence to take initiative and think on your feet
* A proactive mindset and genuine interest in administration
* High attention to detail, especially in spelling and proofreading
* Ability to prioritise workload and represent Happy Days with pride
