Kloisters Kindergarten – Nursery Deputy Manager
Contract: 12-month FTC
Salary: £34,000 per annum

We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic and experienced Deputy Manager to support the daily operations of our nursery. In this role, you will lead and inspire our team while ensuring the highest standards of care, learning, and compliance. Collaborating closely with the Nursery Manager, you will help create a positive atmosphere for children, families, and staff alike.
This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff member, parent, and visitor at all times.
* Understand and uphold the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS throughout the nursery.
* Assist in managing the acceptance and administration of medication, ensuring care plans are thorough and up to date.
* Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments, and resources appropriate to each child's age and stage of development.
* Promote respect and credibility through effective communication, impartiality, and consistency.
* Inspire the staff team with creative ideas and new challenges to achieve outstanding practice.
* Undertake any other duties necessary for the smooth running of the nursery and the safety and wellbeing of children, staff, and families.

Requirements:
* Essential: Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification.
* Essential: Over 1 year of experience working in Early Years.
* Essential: Sound knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements.
* Desirable: Over 1 year of experience in a management position.
* Desirable: Level 5 qualification in Childcare and/or Management and Leadership.
* Desirable: Experience of successfully passing an Ofsted inspection to good or outstanding.
