Key Responsibilities
* Assist in organising and coordinating activities tailored to residents, including group activities and themed events based on local holidays and traditions
* Book external suppliers for entertainment
* Organise community trips, arranging transport and accessibility
* Contribute to planning a varied activity programme to enhance residents’ quality of life
* Maintain written records of resident participation and review resident needs regularly
* Maintain a portfolio of available activities within the home and local community
* Participate in fundraising events as required
General Duties
* Attend and participate in staff meetings
* Complete mandatory training and other skill‑development training
* Communicate effectively with staff, relatives, visitors and professional agencies
* Promote and practice safe working practices within the Home
Qualifications
* Experience working with residents living with dementia
* Genuine interest in residents’ well‑being
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to motivate people to participate
* Organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to plan ahead
* Capacity to build self‑esteem and keep up to date with new activities
