We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mental Health Nurse to join our Mental Health team at HMP Wealstun, a category C prison located in Wetherby.
HMP Wealstun is a male prison with a capacity for 832. We are looking for a Senior Mental Health Nurse to join a team of around 12 to support patients with mental health needs. The ideal candidate would have experience working in a secure environment and be able to work independently.
Hours
Working 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday 0800 - 1600, with 1 weekend in 4.
Salary
This position is full-time, with an annual salary up to £47,466 per annum FTE, depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
* Assess and manage patients' mental health needs
* Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, managing a caseload and developing holistic care plans
* Contribute to nursing strategy and provide evidence-based, personalized care
* Deliver non-judgmental, therapeutic relationships while maintaining professional boundaries
* Participate in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, ensuring safeguarding policies are followed
Qualifications
* Registered with HCPC/NMC as an Occupational Therapist or Social Worker
* Experience in mental health settings and knowledge of this patient group
* Evidence of ongoing professional development
* Experience working with other agencies in a multidisciplinary environment
