Purpose of the Role
BBC Education leads the overall education strategy for the BBC. This role supports the Bitesize Careers digital platform, launching a partnership campaign with the Open University that inspires 14–19‑year‑olds to discover careers through football.
The assistant producer will work with the producer to deliver the campaign, including a launch event, commissioning films and podcast series, and collaborating with partners to maximise impact.

You'll gain an in‑depth understanding of BBC campaign production by assisting the producer, delivering the launch event, creating promotional strategy, and collaborating with internal and external partners.
Your Key Responsibilities and Impact
* Support campaign running, including creating content for the campaign site, articles and quizzes.
* Coordinate cross‑promotional activity with partners, designing social toolkits and agreed messaging.
* Monitor partner activity across social platforms, report on performance and reach, and support evaluation reporting.
* Build and maintain relationships with BBC teams and external partners to maximise campaign visibility.
* Develop promotional opportunities and adaptable assets such as social graphics, short‑form videos and copy templates for youth audiences.
* Create classroom‑ready communications and materials for teachers, career leads and school/youth networks.
* Produce written content and support social media rollout, drafting newsletters and emails to drive participation.
Your Skills and Experience
Essential Criteria
* Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience working with diverse stakeholders.
* Digital skills: content management systems, Photoshop, Premiere Pro.
* Experience creating web and social content, including editing short films.
* Audience‑focused mindset, able to generate content appropriate for a school‑age audience.
* Effective planning and organisational skills, able to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
Desirable
* Interest in football, self‑shooting skills, and experience on an educational campaign.
