Are you an experienced Senior or Team Leader in childrens residential care ready to step up?
Our Client are looking for a Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in running a safe, structured and nurturing home for young people. This is a key leadership role with real influence over the quality of care, staff development and outcomes for children.
The Role:
Youll work closely with the Registered Manager to lead the service, ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance at all times.
Youll:
* Support and deputise for the Registered Manager
* Lead shifts and provide day-to-day staff supervision
* Drive high standards in safeguarding, compliance and Ofsted expectations
* Oversee care planning, recording and documentation
* Support staff development, supervisions and rota planning
* Build positive relationships with young people, families and professionals
* Manage incidents, complaints and safeguarding concerns effectively
* Maintain health & safety standards across the home
* Take part in on-call duties and flexible working
Requirements:
* Experience in a senior role within childrens residential care
* Experience supporting children with emotional and behavioural needs
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
* Strong leadership and decision-making skills
* Sound safeguarding knowledge and a child-centred approach
* Full UK driving licence
* Flexibility to work on-call and across shift patterns
* Level 5 Leadership & Management (or working towards)
* 2+ years experience in residential childcare
