We are seeking a proactive EDI Officer to support the delivery of equality projects and initiatives across the University. Reporting to the HR Business Partner EDI, you will play a key role in advancing our EDI agenda by providing informed advice on developments in equality legislation and best practice.
In this role, you will coordinate activities that support the Universitys EDI Framework, work closely with self-assessment teams, organise evidence for equality-related work, and maintain effective communication channels, including producing high-quality materials and resources. You will also analyse diversity data and contribute to key institutional reports.
You will collaborate with staff networks, Diversity Champions and Dignity at Work Advisors to strengthen an inclusive culture across the institution. Strong communication, organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload are essential.
We offer an excellent employment package, including hybrid working, blending a mix of remote and on-campus working (dependent on work duties).
The University is deeply committed to equality and diversity for all its students and staff. We seek to be diverse and inclusive, supporting individuals and groups to fulfil their potential and nurture a sense of belonging. We strive to be an accessible, inclusive employer, removing barriers for all. Find out more about our approach to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, including our commitments and accreditations as a Disability Confident Leader, Stonewall Gold Award holder, Top 100 Employer, Athena SWAN Bronze Award holder and Race Equality Charter Bronze Award holder on our website.
Informal enquiries are welcome to Ruth Taylor, Head of Human Resources.
