About the Role:
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools throughout Staffordshire. This flexible role is ideal for individuals looking to gain classroom experience, pursue a career in education, or work around other commitments.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will step into the classroom in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students remain engaged with pre-set work and maintain a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials across a variety of subjects
* Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
* Ensure a safe and productive learning environment
* Support students in completing assigned tasks
* Report back to teaching staff on student progress and any issues
What We’re Looking For:
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Confidence in managing groups of young people
* Adaptability and a proactive attitude
* Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential
* A degree or relevant qualification is advantageous
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
