This is a part-time role working 16 hours per week:
o Thursday: 4:30pm – 8:00pm
o Friday: 9:00am – 4:00pm
o Saturday: 9:00am – 3:00pm
About the Role:
As our Sous Chef, you’ll work closely with our Head Chef to deliver high-quality meals in a friendly, supportive kitchen. Your role will be key in ensuring smooth daily operations, maintaining high food standards, and creating a positive dining experience for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with food preparation, cooking, and plating dishes to a high standard
* Support daily kitchen operations and supervise junior kitchen staff
* Help develop menus that cater to the dietary needs and preferences of our residents
* Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
* Maintain stock levels and contribute to cost control
* Build positive relationships with residents, staff, and visitors
What We’re Looking For:
* Previous experience as a Chef, Sous Chef, or in a similar kitchen role
* Understanding of senior nutrition and special dietary requirements is a plus
* Strong communication, organisational, and team leadership skills
* A passion for food and making a difference in the lives of others
