Overview
Join our Student Success and Inclusion Team as a Senior Administrator (Student Success and Inclusion) to support the delivery of student‑success initiatives and inclusive education programmes.
Responsibilities
* Support the development and delivery of student success and inclusion initiatives, projects, or portfolios of work.
* Assist Advisers with administrative support for workshops, events, and resources to enhance student success, including scheduling, room bookings, and attendance data collection.
* Provide administrative support for evaluation and continuous improvement of student‑success activities.
* Maintain accurate records of student interactions and outcomes for monitoring and reporting purposes.
* Support the team’s communication strategy, creating web content and maintaining the team’s website(s).
* Deliver front‑line services to staff, students and key stakeholders, handling enquiries efficiently and professionally.
* Provide high‑level administrative support to the Student Success and Inclusion Team.
* Develop expertise in relevant systems and processes to maximise support quality.
* Monitor budgets and manage procurement processes, including requisitions on Jobshop.
* Carry out other duties commensurate with the grade and remit of the post.
Qualifications
* Excellent IT and administration skills, including electronic diary management, spreadsheets, Google applications and web content management.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with staff and students.
* High degree of accuracy and attention to detail on tasks.
* Experience in planning and administering events such as workshops and focus groups, including scheduling, publicity and on‑day support.
* Ability to assist team members with project management tools, monitoring progress and suggesting improvements.
* Strong organisational skills with initiative and judgement to work during busy periods.
* Excellent customer service skills and ability to respond efficiently to enquiries.
* Excellent written communication skills for updating information on websites.
* Experience working collaboratively with colleagues across the University.
* A standard of education: 5 GCSEs grades A‑C, including Maths, English and IT (or equivalent experience).
* A good understanding of the wider Higher Education sector, particularly access and participation issues.
