* Strong administrative and people/volunteer management skills, communication and IT skills to ensure the smooth running of the group.

* Motivated and reliable, with strong organisational skills to support the group.
* Enthusiastic and friendly, representing both the local group and Parkinson's UK.
What will you be doing?
Support groups across the UK are run by local volunteers and offer friendship and support to people living with Parkinson's and their families and friends. These groups need a leader, working with staff and other volunteers, to coordinate activities such as monthly talks, outings, and social gatherings.
Your responsibilities include:
* Acting as a contact for local and UK office staff.
* Living locally and working with other volunteers to plan activities.
* Organising room bookings and refreshments.
* Ensuring the group operates in line with Parkinson's UK guidelines.
