Overview
We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our in-house clinical team at Barton School – Lincolnshire DN18 6DA. Working collaboratively with the education team, you will deliver bespoke Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention to pupils who may have experienced developmental trauma, be neurodivergent or have SEMH needs. You will work within the OFG Occupational Therapy Ways of Working, hold an occupational therapy caseload with support from your clinical supervisor and site lead, and contribute to staff training and consultation as required.
This role would suit a resilient, creative and enthusiastic individual in a multidisciplinary education setting.
Responsibilities
* Hold an occupational therapy caseload with the full support of your designated clinical supervisor and site lead.
* Deliver bespoke OT assessment and intervention to pupils within an education setting.
* Collaborate with the education and therapy teams; contribute to staff training and consultation as required.
* Support the development of the occupational therapy offer and participate in relevant training and professional development.
Essential Criteria
* Recognised Occupational Therapy degree
* Valid and up-to-date HCPC Registration
* Registered member of RCOT
* Relevant experience in providing occupational therapy services within a similar setting (preferable)
* Experience with neurodivergent individuals and/or those with learning, socio-emotional or mental health needs (transferable skills)
* Knowledge of OT theory and its practical application to support independence
* Ability to work independently, be flexible and confident
* Clear and concise report writing skills
* Full UK driving licence with access to a car
* Interest in sensory integration or sensory-informed practice (training in progress or completed preferable, but not essential)

Barton School – Lincolnshire DN18 6DA. Barton School forms part of our Options Autism brand and is an independent specialist day school for children and young people aged 5–19.
Hours and Contract
Hours: 22.5 hours per week, 8.00am–4.00pm across Monday–Friday (to be arranged with Line Manager).
Contract: Permanent (term time only, with opportunities for flexibility on working pattern based on personal circumstances).
