Workshop Assistant
* Location: Milton Keynes
* Job Type: Full-time / Onsite
* Salary: £26500
We are seeking a Workshop Assistant to join our team. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth operation of our day-to-day activities, ensuring all workshop support services align with our policies, procedures, and team objectives.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
* Maintain a clean, safe workshop environment, minimising risks and reporting any concerns through the appropriate procedures.
* Actively promote and enforce Health and Safety standards within the workplace.
* Assist operations personnel in checking and maintaining stock levels.
* Participate in the service, inspection, and maintenance of all equipment.
* Oversee product manufacturing processes to ensure reliability and consistent performance.
* Diagnose breakdown problems and provide solutions.
Administrative Duties:
* Complete all procedures related to near misses, accident reporting, and damages.
* Inform the Management Team of any items not returned from sites and advise on stock shortages and consumables needed.
Health & Safety:
* Develop and maintain awareness of Health & Safety documents relevant to your role.
* Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your actions.
* Comply fully with the organisation's Health & Safety policies and report any equipment defects or risks immediately to your line manager.
General Responsibilities:

* Maintain professional conduct that reflects positively on the organisation at all times.

Training and Development:
* Engage fully in training and development programs in line with the organisation's training plan and mandatory requirements.
* Attend and participate in supervision sessions and annual personal reviews.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience in workshop support or a similar role within an operations environment.
* Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations.
* Experience in equipment maintenance
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
