The School and Role
Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant to work on a full-time basis at a Primary School in Gateshead (NE8). The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will be working in the Reception class at school, supporting a child with complex SEND (non-verbal and challenging behaviour). This role is shared with another Teaching Assistant in the class so that the child always has a high level of support. This is a ‘Good’ Primary School, where all children are given the opportunity to grow and develop at school.
Requirements
The desired SEND Teaching Assistant will have;
- Experience of working with primary school aged children
- Experience of working with pupils with SEND
- A passion for the progress of primary school pupils
- An ability to work as part of a team
