Role
* Title: Support Worker
* Location: Headley Heath, B38
* Pay: £12.90 per hour
* Shift: Day or Night shift
* Hours: 42 hours per week (full‑time)
Duties (Responsibilities)
* To support people with disabilities, including those with profound and complex needs, using person‑centred approaches to enable positive outcomes as defined in their support plan.
* Basic daily duties include medication administration, cooking, cleaning, and paperwork.
* Provide emotional and practical support.
* Help the people in our care access community facilities and be included in community groups.
* Build a robust relationship with the people in our care to promote independence and improve quality of life.
* Empower the people in our care to learn new skills or pursue hobbies and interests.
Person Specifications (Qualifications & Skills)
* Previous experience supporting people with mental health conditions, complex care needs, challenging behaviours, autism and psychosis.
* Driving licence – essential.
* The ability to multi‑task.
* Excellent time‑management, organisation, attention to detail, and flexibility.
* IT literate.
* A positive ‘can‑do’ attitude.
* Good communication skills.
* A compassionate, caring, positive personality.
* A genuine passion for making a real difference in people’s lives.
* Ability to manage challenging behaviour and conflict.
* Works well as part of a team as well as individually.
