Overview
Are you aspiring to lead and wanting a new challenge? We are recruiting an enthusiastic Clinical Lead to join Willow Ward, where we provide evidence-based care to acutely ill patients. Our Clinical Leads work inclusively within a multi-disciplinary team to achieve the best patient outcomes, support quality improvement standards, and support the education and well-being of our diverse nursing team. You will represent high quality nursing care and must demonstrate an understanding and application of the 6 C’s in practice: Care; Compassion; Competence; Communication; Courage and Commitment.
Willow Ward Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) is an inpatient service in West Cheshire for individuals with serious mental health conditions admitted for assessment and treatment. You will be working in a multidisciplinary team that includes medical staff, Allied Health Professionals (including Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy), a Health and Fitness team and peer support workers/volunteers. Our therapeutic environment includes dedicated therapy rooms and a large gym. The service is led by skilled clinicians and staff providing tailored care pathways for individuals and support for families, including Consultant psychiatrists, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Occupational Therapists and Pharmacists.
As a member of the Willow Ward team, you will support the delivery of responsive, evidence-based, recovery-focused care to everyone in our care. If you are currently a band 5 or 6 RMN looking for the next step, this is a place where you can make a real difference. Bowmere operates 24-hour cover, so shifts include nights. A variety of shifts are available and requests for flexible and part-time working will be considered.
Cheshire and Wirral Partnership (CWP) provides health and care services for a population of over one million people, and employs around 4,500 staff across 73 sites with services across Wirral, Cheshire and other regions. We are rated Outstanding for Caring by the Care Quality Commission, with a Good overall rating. As a Disability Confident Employer, Rainbow Badge Scheme member, Veteran Aware organisation and Armed Forces Covenant Gold Award holder, CWP is committed to inclusive recruitment and valuing differences. We welcome applications from people with direct experience of accessing our services.
All new starters commence in post on one fixed start date each month, in line with our Prepare to Care (P2C) induction programme, which offers up to 3 weeks of training to meet induction requirements.
