The Delta Hotels by Marriott Waltham Abbey are currently recruiting for a Sous Chef to join our Kitchen team.

Responsibilities: Here's what your journey with us entails:

* Work with the Head Chef to manage the day to day operations in the kitchen
* Prepare fresh ingredients for cooking according to recipes/menu
* Cook food and prepare top-quality menu items in a timely manner
* Test foods to ensure proper preparation and temperature
* Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly
* Ensure the proper sanitation and cleanliness of surfaces and storage containers
* Support, train and develop other chefs in the team
* Use your creative flair and attention to detail to create dishes that put smiles on faces

Safety And Company Policies

* Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures
* Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to the manager
* Complete safety training and certifications
* Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
* Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
* Communicate with others using clear and professional language
* Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others
* Support the team to reach common goals
* Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees
* Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
