The Role
This Head of Operations role will take the lead on the operational function, encompassing sales administration, logistics, purchasing, and systems. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the position combines strategic oversight with hands-on involvement, perfect for someone who excels in a dynamic, fast-moving environment and is passionate about enhancing processes, streamlining systems, and boosting team performance.
Key Responsibilities of the Head of Operations:
* Lead and develop a small, experienced operations team, fostering collaboration and accountability.
* Oversee day-to-day operational functions across purchasing, order management, logistics, and stock control.
* Drive efficiency in systems and processes (including ERP and CRM tools) while ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
* Support the delivery of ISO standards and continuous improvement projects aligned with company objectives.
Requirements of the Head of Operations:
* Proven track record in operations leadership within a fast-moving, product-based environment.
* Strong working knowledge of operational systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, project management tools).
* Excellent communication and people management skills, with a down-to-earth, engaging leadership style.
* Experience with international logistics, imports/exports, and operational compliance (ISO) highly desirable.
