About the Role
Are you an experienced Class 2 Driver looking for consistent, rewarding work with a respected local business?
We’re recruiting HGV Class 2 Drivers to deliver palletised goods throughout the PR, FY, and BB postcode areas. This role offers regular hours, a great working environment, and the backing of Driver Hire Blackburn – one of Lancashire’s most trusted transport recruitment specialists.
You’ll be completing local and regional deliveries of palletised goods, using a curtain-sided Class 2 vehicle. Most work is straightforward multi-drop delivery (around 20 drops per day) with minimal handball.
Key Responsibilities
1. Safely operate a Class 2 curtain-sider vehicle for daily deliveries and collections.
2. Carry out 20 drops per day across local postcode areas (PR, FY & BB).
3. Secure and handle loads safely, ensuring goods arrive in perfect condition.
4. Complete delivery paperwork accurately and on time.
5. Maintain your vehicle’s cleanliness, safety checks, and roadworthiness.
Requirements
6. Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence.
7. Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
8. Previous pallet delivery or multi-drop experience is preferred.
9. Good local knowledge of PR, FY & BB postcode areas.
10. Physically fit and capable of safe manual handling.
11. Professional, reliable, and customer-focused.
