Salary: £35,000 - £40,000
The Role
The role as Senior Freight Coordinator will see you sit at the centre of inbound freight - managing shipments across sea, air, and road, ensuring product lands on time, in full, and in the most cost-effective way possible.
You'll be dealing with a mix of suppliers, forwarders, and internal stakeholders - so the ability to challenge, prioritise, and make decisions is key.

Planning and booking containers, tracking shipments, and staying ahead of issues
Proactively resolving delays before they impact stock availability
Working closely with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers
Holding partners accountable on service, cost, and performance
Ensuring all documentation and customs requirements are accurate and compliant
Monitoring freight spend, approving invoices, and spotting cost leakage
Reducing demurrage, detention, and unnecessary storage costs
Aligning closely with buying, planning, and warehouse teams during peak periods
Key Experiences
Proven experience in freight forwarding, shipping, or inbound logistics (Ideally as a Senior Freight Coordinator)
Strong understanding of international freight (sea freight essential, air/road a bonus)
Confident working with forwarders, carriers, and suppliers globally
Good grasp of customs processes, documentation, and Incoterms
Commercially aware - someone who cares about cost, not just movement
Calm under pressure and able to prioritise when everything is urgent
