Overview
Public and patient involvement manager – 12 Month fixed term contract (maternity cover). Location: contracted to the Peterborough office with flexibility for hybrid working. Full time: 37.5 hours per week. Salary: £34,000 - £37,000 depending on experience. Closing date: Tuesday 30 September 2025. Initial phone interviews will be held w/c 6 October 2025. Final interviews will be held in person, at the Peterborough office w/c 13 October 2025.

Responsibilities
* Lead the PPI (Patient and Public Involvement) team and shape the direction of PPI activity to support the charity’s aims.
* Identify, develop and deliver new opportunities for patient involvement beyond routine PPI work.
* Collaborate with patients to ensure their voice informs research investment decisions and organisational priorities.
* Work with clinicians, scientists and partners across sectors to involve patients in the charity’s activities.
* Contribute to planning and decision-making to ensure the patient perspective is central to all projects.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience in Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) and/or public engagement, with a proactive approach to expanding involvement opportunities.
* Passion for patient involvement in charitable activities and ability to lead and develop PPI initiatives.
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills; ability to work with patients, carers, clinicians and researchers.
* Desirable: background in health research funding, renal disease focus, or third-sector organisations.
