Project Manager (INSIDE IR35)
6 Month contract initially with potential longer term opportunities
This would suit a candidate with 2 years+ experience who has previously been an Assistant PM.
Candidates will ideally have an Engineering/Construction background. IT Project Manager will not be suitable for the role.
The role will be working for our client in the Water industry on their Mains Renewable Programme. Water industry experience would be preferred but would also consider candidates from other industries such as Rail & Roads.
Main duties
1. Reporting to the Programme Lead
2. Accountable for 2 or 3 DMA projects (mains renewals)
3. Liaise and establish effective project control:
* Design Meetings
* Construction Planning
* Forward planning and reporting
* Dealing with project issues as they arise
* Cost management and reporting
4. Arranging & Managing site Surveys
5. Working with Design Consultants
6. work closely with the Project Coordinators to ensure that the programme runs smoothly.
7. Ensure compliance is kept up to date, such as cost tracking and legal paperwork.
8. Responsible for ensuring the planning, ordering & coordinating of all plant, equipment, materials & fittings for the scheme as well as liaising with supply chain to manage this.
