Join Our Team as a System Accountant!
Are you a detail-oriented and proactive professional ready to make an impact? We are on the lookout for a System Accountant to join our dynamic FP&A team! If you have a strong accounting background and hands-on experience with financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting systems, we want to hear from you. Experience with Workday Adaptive Insights or similar cloud-based FP&A platforms is a big plus!
Work Environment:
Enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid working contract! Most of your time will be spent working from home, but you'll need to be comfortable commuting to our office in Ashford, Kent once a week for team meetings and project collaborations.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and maintain financial planning and reporting systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
* Collaborate with FP&A and accounting teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes.
* Act as the primary administrator for Workday Adaptive Insights (or equivalent FP&A systems), including system configuration, user management, and troubleshooting.
* Prepare and reconcile financial data between ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite) and FP&A platforms.
* Develop and automate financial insights through reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to support decision-making.
* Support month-end and year-end close activities by ensuring timely and accurate data flow between accounting and planning systems.
* Identify process improvements and automation opportunities within FP&A and accounting systems.
* Assist with training and supporting end-users of FP&A software.
About You:
You are a fully qualified professional (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) currently working as a Systems Accountant or Finance Business Partner, ideally with experience in FP&A activities. You possess the confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels and have hands-on experience with Workday Adaptive Insights or similar cloud-based FP&A software.
Strong Excel skills, data analysis, and financial modeling experience are essential. You excel at problem-solving and thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with finance and IT teams. Your finance knowledge will be invaluable as you partner with the team on continuous system improvements, providing insightful analytical support.
Experience integrating ERP systems with FP&A tools and familiarity with automation tools and scripting (e.g., VBA, SQL) is a bonus!
