As a Bank Wing Pharmacy Technician, your days will be rewarding and varied. You will work in a wing/ward environment, responsible for the administration of medication to patients and related medication management activities, including audits and stock checks under the guidance of the Clinical Lead and Pharmacist Manager. You are expected to work autonomously within established guidelines, standard operating procedures, and the Medicine Policy.
Main duties of the job
Within this role, you will:
* Be responsible for administering medication to patients and managing medication activities, including audits and stock checks, under supervision.
* Work independently within guidelines, SOPs, and Medicine Policy.
* Assist in delivering a safe, legal, and high-quality pharmaceutical service in a secure prison environment, aligned with national and local policies.
* Provide medicines administration services to patients.
* Collaborate with clinical practitioners to manage medicines on designated wings.
* Support the implementation of medicine management strategies and related projects across the prison.
* Contribute to cost-effective prescribing and medicines optimisation, including managing medication budgets.
* Promote safe pharmacy practices, providing advice and training to staff and patients.

Job responsibilities
You must be a registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council and have experience in hospital, primary care, or community pharmacy.
You should be confident with IT systems and proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
As a Bank Wing Pharmacy Technician, you'll work with the HCRG Care Group team in Norwich, delivering services at HMP Norwich.
