Portfolio Payroll is collaborating with a well‑established accountancy practice based in Manchester to recruit a Payroll Administrator on a full‑time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to join a respected organisation who is rewarding and supportive.
Key Duties & Tasks
* Processing payroll for a variety of clients at a well-established brand.
* Supporting the busy payroll department.
* High‑volume, fast‑paced role working with a portfolio of clients.
* Technical skills: relevant systems preferred & strong Excel skills.
* Providing comprehensive advice to employees on payroll queries via phone and email.
* Managing your own portfolio of clients.
* Working to multiple deadlines, handling manual and automated calculations.
* Client payroll experience preferred but not essential.
Desirable Skills & Attributes
* Previous experience in client payroll (Bureau/Practice).
* Proficient using Excel and Sage Payroll.
* Confident communicator.
* Good eye for detail and precision.
* Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
* Able to work independently and collaboratively.
