Position
An opportunity has arisen for a Tissue Viability Nurse at University Hospital Crosshouse.
What you will do:
You will require carrying out a thorough patient assessment and providing specialist clinical advice to a range of professionals including consultants, GPs, registered general, mental health and paediatric nurses and other health professionals on wound management and related therapies.
You will require working independently managing your own diary and have the ability to drive to all hospitals and community location throughout Ayrshire and Arran.
The delivery of evidence based practice is demonstrated through education provided by the Tissue Viability Service, therefore the post holder must keep their knowledge and skills up to date on a regular basis.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
* It is essential that you are a registered nurse with the NMC and have a minimum of 2 years practice post registration.
* To undertake this position, you must hold a degree. It is essential that you can demonstrate post registration education in Tissue Viability or are working towards. The candidate must have a good knowledge/experience of pressure ulcer prevention and management and acute/chronic complex wounds.
* Excellent interpersonal skills are essential to help exert a positive influence and develop constructive working relationships across Health and Partnership Services with a wide range of clinical and non-clinical staff and patients.

37 per week fixed term until March 2026
