About the role
Please note that the advertised salary for this position is subject to a pending pay award. The final salary will be adjusted in line with the nationally agreed pay award.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to work on the Post 16 Pathway 1 Independent Living Skills (ILS) course, within the Ceredigion Post 16 specialist provision. The Pathway 1 ILS course caters for students who have severe learning, physical and/or medical difficulties, providing bespoke provision to meet their learning needs.
The Level 4 Teaching Assistant will work under the direction of the specialist teacher to deliver learning activities and interventions as part of an enriched differentiated curriculum and life skills programme for students with severe learning needs in the Pathway 1 ILS programme of study. They will establish constructive relationships and communicate with parents, carers, and other agencies/professionals, in liaison with the teacher, to support the achievement and progress of learners.
The teaching assistant should have the ability to create meaningful relationships and inspire students with severe learning difficulties, supporting their pathway to adulthood.
